For your cabling system to operate as it’s intended, it has to comply with the Standard to which it was designed, for example Category 6. The only way to know that your cabling system is compliant to a Standard is for it to be tested and certified to the Standard. This has to be done by a trained technician using the appropriate specialist test equipment that tests many parameters across the full range of operating frequencies.
