We had a major communications failure overnight on the link in to our IT centre. In theory, all of the divisions should now be down and we should be cut-off from the Internet. The good news is that the disaster recovery back-up communications network designed by Lynx Networks kicked in seamlessly and no one saw any disruption. At lunch time the main network came back online and the networked changed over. Again this was seamless and no employee noticed anything.
